About the Artist
Name: Rameesah Khan
School: OCADU
Program: Illustration
Artist Bio: Hello! My name is Rameesah Khan, and I am an illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I am passionate about creating digital paintings, concept art, children’s books, comics and graphic novels. At OCAD University, I pursued a major in Illustration and a minor in Game Design.
I have dabbled in 2D animation, 3D modelling and animation, programming, and 2D game development and design. I enjoy creating visual assets and pixel art of 2D games, drawing storyboards for animation productions, and 3D modelling simple references for environment and setting concepts.
Although much of my work is digital, I enjoy working traditionally with ink, pencil crayons, and graphite. My colour palettes tend to be bold, vibrant and saturated, bringing energy and emotion to every piece I create. I enjoy using ink to create line art, particularly for traditional Zentangle pieces, pencil crayons to colour and add texture to my traditional illustrations and pieces, and graphite to create rough sketches and storyboards.
