  • Q. How do I know that ArtLaunch is legitimate?

    A. We are incorporated as a federal nonprofit (Corporation #1697275-6) and registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) under Business Number 761916162. Official copies of our incorporation documents are available upon request.

    Please note: ArtLaunch will never request sensitive personal or financial information from artists or venues.

    Q. Is ArtLaunch a Charitable Organization

    A. No. ArtLaunch is currently a Non-Profit organization. However, ArtLaunch is in the process of applying to become a Charitable organization. In Canada, this process typically takes 6-12 months to complete.

    Q. Are donations to ArtLaunch tax-deductible.

    A. No. Donations to Non-Profit organizations are not deductible. However, if/when ArtLaunch is approved to become a Charity, donations will then become tax-deductible.

    Q. How does ArtLaunch make money?

    A. ArtLaunch earns money through donations, grants, and other fundraising efforts. ArtLaunch does NOT take any money from Artists or Venues for the services provided.

    Q. When was ArtLaunch established?

    A. ArtLaunch was established in May of 2025.

  • Q. Are there any costs associated with artists using the ArtLaunch services?

    A. No. ArtLaunch does not charge any costs to Artists or Venues. In addition, ArtLaunch also does not allow venues using the ArtLaunch services to charge artists any fees (except commissions, in the case the artist & venue agree to sell artwork together).

    Q. What artists are eligible to use the ArtLaunch services?

    A. Any Canadian artist, or artist residing in Canada, who is 25 years old or under, is eligible to use the ArtLaunch services.

    Q. Why does ArtLaunch not support artists older than 25 years old?

    A. ArtLaunch believes that young artists are an underserved and underappreciated segment of the Art community, which is why ArtLaunch has chosen to focus its efforts in this area.

    Q. Do artists need to verify that they are 25 years old or under?

    A. As a general practice, ArtLaunch does not ask artists to provide proof of age. However, in specific instances, ArtLaunch may require evidence.

    Q. Is an artist’s personal information posted along with Artwork on the ArtLaunch website?

    A. ArtLaunch never posts contact information publicly. All information posted along with the Artwork (Artist Bio, Artistic Statement, etc.) are optional.

    Q. Is anyone able to contact artists once they post their artwork?

    A. No. Only venues can contact artists, and this is completed through ArtLaunch.

    Q. If a venue expresses interest in displaying my artwork, do I have to accept?

    A. No. Artists are not required to respond or accept venue interest/offers.

    Q. How are the arrangements completed for the artwork to be exhibited?

    A. All details regarding exhibitions are handled exclusively between the artist and the venue. However, ArtLaunch recommends that artists and venues sign an Artist-Venue Agreement to ensure expectations and responsibilities are clearly defined. ArtLaunch provides both the Artist and the Venue a sample agreement that can be used as a template or reference.

    Q. Can artists remove their artwork from ArtLaunch after it is posted?

    A. Yes. At their request, Artists can have their artwork removed at any time. Otherwise, posted artwork remains active for 12 months.

    Q. Are all forms of Artwork able to be submitted on ArtLaunch?

    A. No. ArtLaunch would love to support all forms of art, but at this time, we are only able to accept physical forms of artwork which can be displayed at venues.

    Q. Does ArtLaunch accept and post all artwork?

    A. No. ArtLaunch reserves the right not to post artwork. The following subjects (but not limited to) will not be accepted:

    • Content that exploits or objectifies vulnerable individuals.

    • Promotion of discriminatory or hateful language or imagery.

    • Excessive violence, gore, or cruelty.

    Q. Does ArtLaunch accept AI-generated artwork?

    A. No, ArtLaunch does not accept artwork that is AI-generated or suspected to be AI-generated.

  • Q. What Venues are eligible to use the ArtLaunch services?

    A. Any Canadian venue is eligible to use the ArtLaunch services. However, ArtLaunch reserves the right not to post venues at its sole discretion.

    Q. Is there a cost for venues to partner with ArtLaunch?

    A. No. There is no cost to venues to partner with ArtLaunch. Our only requirement is that your venue post a letter-sized partnership sign in a visible location (see example in the Venue Brochure). 

    Q. Are venues permitted to charge artists for displaying their artwork?

    A. No. By partnering with ArtLaunch you agree not to charge artists to display their artwork. (except commissions, in the case the artist & venue agree to sell artwork together).

    Q. Is a venue’s contact information posted on the ArtLaunch website?

    A. No. ArtLaunch never posts contact information publicly.

    Q. Is anyone able to contact a venue that is on ArtLaunch?

    A. No. Venues have full control over who can or cannot contact them.

    Q. If an artist expresses interest in displaying artwork at my venue, do I have to accept?

    A. No. Venues are not required to receive, respond to, or accept artist interest.

    Q. How are the arrangements completed for the artwork to be exhibited?

    A. All details regarding exhibitions are handled exclusively between the artist and the venue. However, ArtLaunch recommends that artists and venues sign an Artist-Venue Agreement to ensure expectations and responsibilities are clearly defined.     Q. Can venues remove themselves from ArtLaunch?

    A. Yes. At their request, Venues can have their venue removed at any time. Venues will also be removed from ArtLaunch after 12 months if they do not renew their interest.

    Q. Do I have to sell the artwork of artists at my venue?

    A. No. Selling artwork at your venue is at the venue’s sole discretion.
