About the Artwork

Medium: Painting on Canvas

Size: 36"W x 24"H x 3"D

Artistic Statement: "Urban Rhythm" captures the frenetic pace of a busy downtown street in Toronto, where people, traffic, and towering buildings create a constant, unbroken flow of energy. Through vibrant colours and dynamic brushstrokes, I seek to convey the movement and noise of the city, juxtaposing moments of stillness with the chaotic rush of everyday life.

The composition is intentionally fragmented, with areas of sharp contrast and blurred edges, reflecting the ever‑changing, fleeting nature of urban existence. In this piece, I aim to explore how, despite the rush and noise, there are moments of connection and calm that emerge amidst the chaos, offering a deeper understanding of the urban landscape’s complexity.
